Pandemic Flu
WHO raised to "Pandemic" (Level 6) 6/11/09
"Swine Flu" -- "Novel Influenza A(H1N1)"
Current symptoms and severity approximately the same as normal "seasonal" flu,
but spreading rapidly around the world, and continues even during the part of
the year when "seasonal" flu has died away. Strangely, it affects many people in
the young adult age range, whereas seasonal flu hits most severely the very
young and very old.
This is a quick compilation related to the new flu virus
spreading rapidly to various countries.

H5N1 Bird Flu

•May become a pandemic disease of humans.
•Already a major threat to poultry,
and therefore to the economy and food supply of several countries.
