How to fix problems with "Reports"
in Microsoft Access
The normal default printer (DickyLab_B&W) causes
problems with reports in Access.
To
avoid the problem, set the default printer to DickeyLab_Color. (You can
actually print OK to DickeyLab_B&W by choosing it at File > Print, as long
as that is not the default printer.)
Here's
how to change it. (You need to do it each time you log on, because it
"forgets" it when you log off.)
- Click "Start", look for "Printers and Faxes", and
click on it.
- You should see a list of printers, with DickeyLab_B&W
at the top (with a small checkmark on a black dot, to show that it is the
default printer.
- Just below it is DickeyLab_Color. Right-click that
printer, and choose "Set as default printer". That should make the dot
with the checkmark move to that printer.
- Close the Printers and Faxes dialog, using the small
"x" in its upper right corner. That's it!
- Remember to do it each time you log on, if you are
needing reports in Access
