The Sun Porch computer resources are
available for use by all students,
staff, faculty and community patrons.

Sun Porch Location: William Logan Library

Hours of Operation:

Access to the Sun Porch coincides with the operating hours of the
main library. Please click HERE for the Library's current hours of
operation.

Services: The sun porch computers offer the full range of classroom software, laser printing, Internet access, and access to server-based file storage (for students, faculty, and staff).

A Schreiner Login and password is required to use these computers. Community patrons may obtain a temporary login and password from the Circulation Desk near the building entrance.

If you need assistance with computers please consult with the Reference Desk representative located near the entrance to the main library or at the Circulation Desk.

Hardware:

• 12 PC's with Windows XP operating system and software, with a network file server and Internet access.
• Printers: All Sun Porch computers print through the network to Laser Printers located at the circulation desk:
  • Black & White -- HP LaserJet 4200N network laser printer
  • Color -- HP Color LaserJet 3600N network laser printer
  • There is a nominal charge of 5 cents per page for black and white printing, and 15 cents per page for color printing.

Software:

• The Sun Porch computers have a "standard" load of:
  • Windows XP OS, Microsoft Office 2003: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Internet Explorer 7
  • some other applications according to need and licensing
